An Opportunity To … 

Allah almighty says in Sura 17:26-28: "Give to the near of kin their due, and also to the destitute and to the wayfarers. Do not squander (your substance) wastefully, for the wasteful are the devils' brothers; and the devil is ever ungrateful to His Lord."

For Allah the Exalted says: "Each one has a goal towards which he turns. So emulate one another on good works. And wherever you be, Allah will bring you all before Him. He has power over all things." Sura 2:148

Sadaqah can also be a proof of our faith;

It was also narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him ) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him ) said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a warrior, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day." <Sahih Al-Bukhari vol 7, hadith #265>
