Kafarahs

'Kafarah' is an expiation payment for those who were not able to fast in Ramadan or make up the days thereafter due to longterm illness or an old age. The Kafarah to feed a needy person is $15.00 per each day not fasted.

Kafarah for breaking an oath is feed ten needy people or clothes them, or to free a slave.  The Kafarah is $15.00 for every needy person.

The Kafarah for a man going to his wife during the day of Ramadan is to free a slave, if one cannot then to fast two consecutive Hijri Month, if one cannot, then to feed 60 needy people.  The Kafarah is $15.00 for every needy person.

The Kafarah for Al-Thihaar, which is when a man says to his wife, you are unlawful for me like my mother is to free a slave, if one cannot then to fast two consecutive Hijri Month, if one cannot, then to feed 60 needy people.  The Kafarah is $15.00 for every needy person..
